Bryan R. Williams is a partner in the New York office of the national law firm Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A., where he specializes in all aspects of commercial litigation with an emphasis in tort defense, real estate, and banking litigation. He has significant jury trial experience on both the state and federal levels. He has been engaged in private practice in New York City for over 39 years. For 15 years prior to joining Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A., he was a named partner in the Wall Street law firm, Pettus & Williams, PLLC, where he also specialized in commercial and real estate litigation. 

A 1976 initiate of the Alpha Theta Chapter at Tennessee State University, he served as Student Government President at Tennessee State for the years 1977-78. A 1981 cum laude graduate of the Howard University School of Law in Washington, D.C., and a 1978 graduate of Tennessee State University, Brother Williams began his legal career as an Assistant District Attorney in the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office. He practiced commercial litigation at the Wall Street law firms of Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher, and Flom and Deforest & Duer. 

Brother Williams is also a member of the five person New York State Board of Law Examiners, the body responsible for the writing, grading, and administration of the New York bar examination. The Board is also responsible for establishing policy for the bar exam. The New York Court of Appeals appointed Mr. Williams to the Board in 1996. He is the first and only African American male to ever hold this position. He is also the Past Chair of the Board of Trustees of the National Conference of Bar Examiners, the national organization that is responsible for providing bar examination materials throughout the United States. 

Brother Williams is a life member of both the Fraternity and the Fraternity’s Northeastern Province. He is General Legal Counsel to the Northeastern Province, a former Polemarch of the Fraternity’s New Rochelle- White Plains Alumni Chapter, and the Chair of the Lower Hudson Valley Diamond Foundation, the not-for-profit arm of the New Rochelle- White Plains Alumni Chapter. Brother Williams is also involved in a number of community and religious organizations, serving as a member of the Board of Deacons of the historic Canaan Baptist Church of Christ in Harlem, and the Board of Directors of the Lakeland Education Foundation in Westchester County, New York. He is a former guest legal expert commentator for the Courtroom Television Network. Brother Williams lives in Cortlandt Manor, New York with his wife Robin and their children Bryan Jr., Tahari, and Bryce.
