Powered by the passionate belief that everyone can achieve greatness, and driven by the opportunity to spark significant, powerful change, Jimmy McMikle has dedicated his life to service.  He regularly inspires audiences of children, college students, educators, parent groups and professionals alike, championing achievement and bridging the gap between current positioning and desired direction. 

Jimmy is a respected leadership consultant, accomplished author and sought-after motivational speaker and life coach. Three simple, yet powerful words define his mission and direct his passion to equip people for success: Educate, Inspire, & Empower!   He is President of the McMikle Group, LLC, a leadership training and development company based in Hartford, Connecticut.  He shares the distinction of being a certified John C. Maxwell Speaker, Trainer, and Life Coach with a select group of phenomenal speakers worldwide, personally trained and mentored by global leadership expert Dr. Maxwell himself.  Jimmy offers leadership workshops, seminars, keynote speaking, and coaching that aids personal and professional growth through study and practical application of John’s proven leadership methods. 

Jimmy’s latest book, DREAM NOW: 10 Steps to Accomplish the Extraordinary offers a detailed road map to obtaining the life that one desires.  He challenges the reader to step out of an ordinary existence and live a life of extraordinary measure.  His two children’s books, “Hey Big Boy” and “Hey Big Girl,” provide powerful life directional messages to youth of all ages.  He is the founder of the D.R.E.A.M. NOW Program, an intensive youth leadership program whose mission is “to develop responsible, educated, adaptive minds for future leadership.”  

Widely regarded as a leader among leaders, Jimmy McMikle serves in a civic capacity as the National Director of Organizational Effectiveness for Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc., where he developed Kappa Alpha Psi’s five-year strategic plan (for years 2021-2025). He also currently chairs Kappa’s COVID-19 Task Force Committee.  He has served on the organizations’ National Board of Directors and as its Northeastern Regional President.
 
Jimmy founded and chairs the “Learn 2 Live” National Community Policing and Social Justice Initiative, which is designed to improve relationships and build bridges between law enforcement and communities of color while formally preparing youth in those communities for law enforcement encounters.  Over the past five years, “Learn 2 Live” has partnered with over 100 police departments across the country and conducted 120 youth forums in 90 cities, training approximately 60,000 kids.  The initiative has garnered a wide variety of corporate support, sponsorships and award recognition.
 
Jimmy McMikle graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Indiana University where he earned All Big-Ten Conference honors as a sprinter for the school’s Track & Field team.  As a member of three indoor Big-Ten Championship and two outdoor Big-Ten Championship teams, Jimmy is still one of the current record holders for the University’s 4x100 meter relay team. He also holds a Master of Business Administration degree.  Jimmy and his family currently reside in Windsor, Connecticut.
